Artificial Insemination

Artificial Insemination (AI) is the only way to use Simba as a stud. We can do local collection or ship chilled sperm. I recommend progesterone testing for the best results. After the live collection, I will have the vet check the sperm mobility. I will cover the cost of the sperm evaluation.

Cost

A non-refundable $300 deposit is due at the time of collection. The remaining balance is due once puppies are whelped, depending upon litter size. Four puppies constitute a full litter.

I do not charge more if the litter is over a certain number or a price per puppy.

I do not offer a “return service” if the collection does not yield a litter. My pricing structure as a low upfront fee and if successful the rest of the fee is due.

Shipping

I am willing to drive and meet you for an in person collection, if you’re close to Indianapolis, IN or Haviland, OH. If you’re not close and shipping is required, here is the information about that process.

Once collection has taken place. The vet reviews the collection and adds extender. The collection is added to a dual wall stainless steel container (left picture, black container) with a sensor that monitors the temperature every minute. The package is packed with ice and documentation about the details of the collection. Th package is taken to FedEx or UPS to be shipped. If you contact me and need a collection ASAP. Time of day plays into logistics. The last pickup for overnight packages need to be at the shipping office before 6PM to arrive next day. I will need 3 hours before 6PM on a week day to be able to get the collection shipped. The owner of the female will cover the cost of shipping.

The image on the right is an example of a collection that was shipped and had over a 90% mobility rating at the time the breeding. I will include a return label in the box. Once the box is returned I will email you the temperature report, example image on right.
